About Our Emcee
Derek Smith (MA '05)
Derek Smith is the well-known public address voice at McLane Stadium, as well as the play-by-play broadcaster for both Baylor Women’s Basketball and Baseball, and the co-host of pre- and post-game radio coverage on Football game days. A 2005 Baylor graduate, Derek serves as a senior brand strategy specialist in Baylor Marketing & Communications, where he coordinates coverage of Baylor research and hosts the Baylor Connections podcast.
