About Our Speaker
Tricia Patterson (BA '10)
Tricia Patterson (BA '10) is a passionate Christian speaker, writer, and devoted wife and mother of three daughters. She serves on the Teaching Team at Anthem Church, one of the greatest joys of her life. Tricia is the author of Cultivating a Life of Joy, The Unwasted Life, and the Fan Into Flames journal series. She hosts the Truth at Home podcast and co-hosts the Fighting for Generations podcast, where she shares her insights on faith and family.
A graduate of Baylor University, Tricia earned her Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication with Magna Cum Laude honors. She also holds a Master of Arts in Christian Education, specializing in Family Ministry, from Dallas Baptist University. Tricia lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with her husband, Sam, who is an assistant coach for the men’s basketball team at Oral Roberts University.
About Our Woman of Distinction
Kay Killingsworth Thedford (BSEd ‘79)
Kay Killingsworth Thedford (BSEd '79), a charter member of the Baylor University Women’s Council of Dallas, is the 2024 Woman of Distinction. Kay is a 1979 graduate of Baylor University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Education Degree with a Minor in Music. She is a lifelong resident of Dallas and is actively involved in many First Baptist Church of Dallas ministries.
Kay is a dedicated elementary music teacher, having taught for the past 40 years at DISD and First Baptist Academy. She is a mom, grandmom, and genuine friend to many. We are honored to celebrate Kay at our BUWC Dallas Fall Luncheon.
