Flourishing Together: Creating Communities Where Belonging Abounds
We thrive most in community with others. Yet, too many schools, workplaces, and churches still struggle to widen their welcome for people with developmental disabilities. At Baylor, we are equipping and supporting communities to become places of belonging. Join us as we share what we are learning about the practices and postures that enable every member of the body to truly flourish together.
ABOUT OUR SPEAKERS
Erik Carter, Ph.D. is Luther Sweet Endowed Chair and Executive Director of the Baylor Center for Developmental Disabilities. His research explores faithful best practices for promoting inclusion and belonging for people with disabilities and their families.
Shanna Hagan-Burke, Ph.D., is dean of the Baylor School of Education and previously served as special-education faculty at three other research universities and as department chair.
