Join us for an evening of giving & celebration! We are excited to invite you to the Spring Fundraising Dinner in support of the Fort Bend County Baylor Scholarship Fund. This special evening will help raise vital funds for deserving students from Fort Bend County who aspire to attend Baylor University and pursue their educational dreams. 

Our panel discussion will be moderated by Charly Edsitty (BA '09) from ABC 13 and features former Baylor Football players Jacoby Clarke (BBA '22, MBA '23), and Seth Russell (BA '16). Jacoby and Seth will share how scholarships contributed to their Baylor experience and their Baylor story.

About Our Panelists

Charly Edsitty (BA '09)
Charly Edsitty

Charly Edsitty is an anchor and reporter at ABC13 in Houston, where she has covered major stories, including the 2019 El Paso mass shooting, the COVID-19 pandemic, the Great Texas Freeze, and multiple hurricanes. She began her journalism career at KPNX in Phoenix, quickly transitioning from a planning producer to an on-air reporter.

A proud Baylor University graduate, Edsitty holds a degree in print journalism. She is Diné (Navajo) and among the few Native American television broadcasters in the country. Originally from Glendale, Arizona, she developed a love for storytelling from her grandparents and a passion for road trips during frequent visits to the Navajo Nation.

Jacoby Clarke (BBA '22, MBA '23)
Jacoby Clarke

Jacoby Clarke is a financial advisor at Edward Jones, helping businesses, families, and individuals create tailored strategies to achieve their financial goals. A former Baylor Football student-athlete, Clarke was a five-year member of the team, playing in two Big 12 Championship games and two Sugar Bowls, including Baylor’s historic 2021 season. He earned a full athletic scholarship and was a four-time First Team Academic All-Big 12 honoree.

A Houston-area native, Clarke played at The Woodlands High School before earning his BBA in Marketing and MBA in Entrepreneurship and Finance from Baylor. Now based in Houston, he enjoys watching football, fishing, and exploring new restaurants and films.

Seth Russell (BA '16)

Seth Russell was a 4-year varsity letterwinner and QB for the Bears from 2013-2016. Despite suffering season-ending injuries in both his junior and senior seasons, he appeared in 31 games with 17 starts. He posted a 14-3 record as a starter, throwing 54 TD passes and only 14 interceptions in those games. He earned All-Big 12 (honorable mention) honors following the 2015 season, and he was named “Strongest Arm” in the Big 12 Conference by Lindy’s Sports. Russell owns or shares seven school passing records, including the Single-Game TD Passes record (6). He is Baylor’s career leader in Total Offense Yards Per Play (8.324) and is also ranked 2nd in Pass Efficiency (159.36), 3rd in Passing TDs (60), and 7th in Total Passing Yards (5,461). He is one of only three QBs in Baylor Football history to throw for 50+ career touchdowns. Russell was the recipient of the Bobby Jones Award in 2017, presented by the “B” Association to the outstanding senior football player for leadership, sportsmanship and team play during practice for, and performance in, the previous years’ Homecoming game.
