BUWC Austin Spring Luncheon

Join the Baylor University Women's Council of Austin for the annual Spring Luncheon at the beautiful Barton Creek Country Club. Listen to Dr. Sharra Hynes, Senior Associate Vice President and Dean of Students in the Division of Student Life at Baylor University, as she shares what life is like on campus for our Bears, which most likely is quite different than what you may have experienced. ABOUT OUR SPEAKER

Dr. Sharra Hynes currently serves as the Senior Associate Vice President and Dean of Students in the Division of Student Life at Baylor University and oversees the "student-facing" departments of Campus Living & Learning, New Student Programs, Student Activities, Student Leadership Development, and Student Conduct. In July 2025, Dr. Hynes will assume the role of Vice President for Student Life at Baylor University.

Dr. Hynes came to Baylor from the University of Central Oklahoma, where she served for seven years. She has also worked professionally at Texas A&M University, Houghton College, and George Fox University. She earned her undergraduate degree from Houghton College, her master’s degree from Alfred University, and her Doctor of Philosophy from Texas A&M University. She has extensive experience in student engagement, new student orientation programming, leadership development, Greek life, housing, volunteer and service learning, strategic planning, institutional assessment, and judicial affairs.
