An Important Message from Dr. Isaiah Odajima
Dear Golden Wave Alum,
We hope to see you September 20 at Golden Wave Alumni Band Weekend for all the festivities and a special opportunity to support future Music students!
Many of you may remember we lost one of our own, David Grotberg, in 2016. David was a beautiful light to those who were around him and an extraordinary young man whose love for God was inspiring. His energy and passions for the activities in which he was involved, including the BUGWB, was akin to an amazing force of nature.
Similarly to David, the Grotberg family, has been a beacon of God’s love, of His light, and His faithfulness to us. Clark and Diane, and the entire family, have lifted the university through the creation of the David Grotberg Golden Wave Band Scholarship Fund.
To raise funds for this scholarship, The Golden Wave Band donated our last retired set of uniforms to the Grotberg family so they could create authentic, hand-crafted bags made from the material. The bags are a wonderful keepsake and an opportunity to you’re your pride and commitment to the Golden Wave Family.
Sincerely,
Dr. Isaiah Odajima
