Born to Go to Baylor

May 15, 2026

For Anna Johnson (BBA ’26), Baylor was never just a college choice, it was home long before move-in day.

Her parents met at Baylor and took every opportunity to share their love of the university with their family. Before she could talk, she was even placed in a "Born to be a Baylor Bear" onesie, a snapshot that would shape her future. Anna grew up visiting campus and attending every single Homecoming alongside generations of Bears, from her parents to her sister, cousins, aunt and uncle.

"Some people find Baylor. I was planning to come here my whole life," Anna shared.

What began as a childhood dream became reality when Anna joined the Baylor family in 2022. She went on to study Professional Selling and Entrepreneurship, diving into all the Baylor community had to offer. One of her most meaningful Baylor moments came as float chair for her sorority’s Homecoming parade entry, where she helped recreate Baylor in the 1990s — complete with old photos of Baylor students, including her own parents. Hearing alumni share stories, she was reminded that Baylor is more than tradition — it’s family.

"It's crazy to me how much things have changed," Anna added, "and standing there listening to all of them is what really made all the late nights and frustration worth it. We even got a letter from former football coach Grant Teaff, my dad's Baylor football hero, admiring our float."

Through Tri Delta, ProSales and friendships built in both joyful and difficult seasons, Anna says Baylor taught her the importance of fully showing up — for opportunities, for community and for people.

Now, the little girl who once watched the parade from the curb gets to cross the graduation stage on the same campus where her parents’ story began. She graduates this year with a Bachelor of Business Administration and has already secured a full-time job, continuing to shine the Baylor legacy into every area of her life.
