Building Bridges with Faith at the Center

Pedro Aulestia (BBA ’09)

For Pedro Aulestia (BBA ’09), Baylor became the place where faith, calling and purpose came into alignment.

While on campus, Aulestia discovered a deeper passion for Christ and learned to place Him at the center of his work, a foundation that would shape his life far beyond graduation. He also played for the Baylor men’s soccer club, finding community, leadership opportunities and friendships on and off the field. Those experiences became anchors during seasons of personal difficulty and helped him persevere toward a career in global public affairs.

Today, Aulestia serves as vice president of government relations and public affairs at American Faith Insurance Group in Washington. He builds bridges between Latin America and the United States. In 2024, he was honored with Ecuador’s highest national recognition, the Eloy Alfaro Award, for his impact as a political consultant across Latin America.

Aulestia credits Baylor for teaching him to dream boldly, serve faithfully and lead with Christ at the center.
