Coming into Focus

A proud fourth-generation Bear, Greg Davis (BBA ’92) says Baylor gave him far more than a business education. Through traditions like Sing, friendships in ATO and classes like Ethics in Business, he developed a foundation rooted in integrity, connection and purpose — values that continue to guide his life and creative work today. 

"The lessons from that class are still relevant and continue to be at the forefront of all of my business decisions," Greg reflected.

After leaving a corporate career in 2004, Greg picked up a camera and began traveling the world, documenting moments of humanity, resilience and cultural connection. What started as curiosity quickly became a calling. Over the years, his photography has been featured in more than 25 solo exhibitions, added to permanent collections across the country, and even led to representation within the National Geographic Image Collection. 

"I see photography not just as documentation but as a form of connection," Greg shared. "Each image is an exchange between photographer and subject, built on trust, curiosity and respect. My hope is that these photographs serve as quiet reminders that, despite the vast diversity of our world, there is a common spirit that runs through us all."

Whether photographing artisans in Oaxaca, spiritual traditions in India or everyday life closer to home in Texas, Greg’s work invites people to slow down, look closer and recognize the humanity we all share. 

More than three decades later, Baylor remains part of the story — and Greg still proudly “bleeds green and gold.”
