About Our Speaker

Krystal Jasso, the mother of an incoming Baylor freshman, is a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner who founded Krystal Essence with the desire to help her clients encounter identity-changing healing.

With more than a decade of experience working alongside a respected gastroenterologist and hepatologist, Krystal has trained medical professionals, developed clinical protocols, and worked extensively with both pharmaceuticals and nutritional supplements. Her perspective began to shift after her husband experienced a stroke at just 26 years old. This experience prompted Krystal to look more deeply at the ways stress, nutrition, sleep, environment and emotional well-being can influence overall health.

Today, Krystal is compelled by her own story alongside clinical and functional medicine experience to educate others on nutrition, nervous system regulation, stress management and whole-person wellness. Through Krystal Essence, she guides her clients toward greater awareness of their well-being while encouraging them to approach their bodies and lives with peace, purpose, and resilience through their faith.

Krystal and her husband are raising three daughters and are excited to begin their own Baylor journey as their oldest becomes part of the Baylor Family.
