About Our Speaker
Dr. Kenneth Wilgus is a Baylor University alumnus (BA ’81) and practicing psychologist with more than 30 years of experience working with individuals, couples and families. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin and his M.A. from Trinity University before completing his internship at Michael Reese Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois.
Throughout his career, Dr. Wilgus has specialized in helping families navigate the challenges of parenting and adolescence. He previously served as director of Child and Adolescent Services at the Minirth-Meier Clinic in Dallas and now maintains a private practice, where he consults with parents and provides marriage and family therapy.
Dr. Wilgus is the author of Feeding the Mouth That Bites You, a widely praised guide to parenting teenagers that inspired a podcast by the same name. His combination of clinical experience, practical insight and personal experience as a parent has made him a valuable voice for families navigating the transition from raising children to launching young adults.
