- Executive Director, Center for Professional Selling; Frank M. and Floy Smith Holloway Professor
From Boardroom to Bethlehem: Christ-Centered B2B Strategies
In this breakout session, Andrea Dixon explores how Christians can faithfully integrate their beliefs into the world of business to business selling and leadership. Drawing on biblical principles and the example of Jesus as the ultimate relationship builder, we will examine how Christ centered values (humility, integrity, service, and spiritual intentionality) can transform workplace culture. Participants will examine practical ways to build authentic relationships, lead with a servant’s heart, navigate ethical decisions, and view their daily work as an expression of worship.
Session Speaker
Dr. Andrea Dixon provides academic leadership for Baylor University’s Center for Professional Selling. Since 2009, she has built Baylor ProSales into one of the nation’s top sales programs, marking milestones such as the 25th Anniversary celebration in 2010 and editing the 30th Anniversary issue of the Journal of Personal Selling and Sales Management (JPSSM). In 2025, the program celebrated its 40th Anniversary by hosting scholars from 11 countries at a global research symposium that will produce another JPSSM special issue.
Under Dixon’s leadership, the program has grown from eight students to 220 high‑achieving majors and expanded corporate partnerships from $15,000 to $400,000 annually, while contributing more than $2.2 million to endowment funds. She designed the program’s research‑based competency model, grounded in 12 B2B competencies and 50 skills, enabling ProSales to maintain a 100% placement rate for seniors and junior‑level internships.
Dixon’s scholarship has appeared in leading journals including the Journal of Marketing, Harvard Business Review, Organizational Science, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Leadership Quarterly, and JPSSM. Her Journal of Marketing article received the 2002 award, and she is co‑author of Strategic Sales Leadership and Sales Management (Third Edition). She previously served as Regional Editor for the European Journal of Marketing and serves on multiple editorial review boards.
Her career honors include the American Marketing Association Sales SIG Lifetime Achievement Award (2024), Baylor’s Cornelia Marschall Smith Award (2020), and recognition as a Piper Professor (2023), naming her among the top professors in Texas.
Dixon has received numerous teaching awards and teaches PhD, master’s, and undergraduate students. An experienced executive educator, she has delivered programs across the world through Duke University’s Global Learning Resource Network. She has held leadership roles within AMA, GSSI, the University Sales Center Alliance, and Baylor University’s governance committees. She currently serves on the international Boards of Directors for the American Marketing Association and World Impact.
