Jovan Overshown

Jovan Overshown is Baylor University’s Deputy Athletics Director and Chief Operating Officer, providing executive leadership across three divisions: the athletics front office, student-athlete services, and external affairs/business development. She oversees Baylor Football and drives strategic initiatives that advance all 19 intercollegiate sports programs.
Since joining Baylor in 2017, Overshown has led transformative projects, including the Baylor x NIKE “United” rebrand and the transition to Playfly Sports Properties, which boosted multimedia rights revenue by 63%. Under her leadership, the Baylor Bear Foundation surpassed fundraising goals for seven consecutive years, with recent totals exceeding $25M annually, and licensing royalties reached record highs.
Her previous roles include Deputy AD for External Affairs and leadership positions at The King’s University, TCU, and SMU. A member of Leadership Waco Class XLI, Overshown holds a BBA in Marketing and Entrepreneurial Management from TCU and an MBA in Marketing from Tarleton State. She and her husband, Billy, have two sons, Beckham King and Hendrix Steel.
