Richard Cunningham is an investor at Sovereign’s Capital, a faith-driven private markets asset manager that seeks to love God and neighbor through the work of investing. In his role, Richard underwrites private equity, growth equity, and venture capital funds and deals, with a focus on backing businesses and managers that promote human flourishing across the marketplace. He also supports the firm’s capital formation efforts and has the joy of hosting the Faith Driven Investor Podcast.
Before joining Sovereign’s Capital, Richard held other finance roles after earning both his undergraduate degree in finance and his MBA from Baylor University, where he also played centerfield for the Bears baseball team from 2015 to 2019. Richard and his wife, Marshall, live in his hometown of Austin, Texas, and are active members of The Austin Stone Community Church.
