Elizabeth Carlyle, J.D.

Elizabeth Ingram Carlyle is the Chief Executive Officer of First Freedom Art Company, a CAZ Investments firm headquartered in Houston, Texas. Under her leadership, First Freedom Art curates and manages significant collections, including the iconic Prayer at Valley Forge, currently on display at the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C. Through this work, Elizabeth champions the importance of America’s first freedoms—speech and religion.
In addition to her role at First Freedom Art, Elizabeth serves as Of Counsel at Daniels & Tredennick, a Houston-based litigation firm. Her career spans executive leadership and legal counsel roles in both corporate and nonprofit sectors. She previously served as General Counsel for Second Baptist Church and School, and later for Vision Source, an optometry network with over 3,500 locations. Elizabeth also led operations as COO of The Brookwood Community, empowering adults with disabilities through meaningful work, and chaired the board of Family Legacy Ministries International, which serves thousands of orphans in Zambia. In 2020, she was honored as one of Houston’s Women Who Mean Business.
Elizabeth holds a BBA in Marketing and a JD from Baylor University, where she was a member of the Order of the Barristers. She and her husband, Dr. Trent Carlyle, an orthopedic surgeon, live in Houston with their two children, Cooper and Caroline.
